Common questions from buyers and brokers
Do we have to switch our broker?
No. Digicust orchestrates the data; the broker relationship stays with you. Connect your in-house team, an existing partner, or one of our vetted partners. You can also run all three from the same workspace.
Can we still file declarations ourselves?
Yes. Digicust prepares submission-ready data for any customs software (ATLAS, AES, NCTS, ASYCUDA, DAKOSY, AEB, Format, Scope, Mercurio, e-dec and more), so you can file directly when you have the authorisation.
How long does onboarding take?
First broker integration usually takes 2 weeks: 1 week for the data feed, 1 week for the AI strategies and validation rules. From there, adding new lanes, products or partner brokers is a configuration change, not a project.
Who is on the legal hook for the declaration?
The declarant is always the broker that files. Digicust is the data layer; we don't act as customs representative ourselves. Our partner brokers do, where you don't have your own footprint.
